Tom Lingo has been
employed with the company since 1995. Tom has been in the garage door
business since he was very young. His father was an owner of a garage
building and garage door business for many years. Tom began his service to
the company installing and servicing residential garage door and openers
and continues to perform those duties today. There is no substitute for
long term experience. Tom is considered by our company to be one of the
best in the industry. Tom has been married to Beth for over 10 years.
Chris Rahn has been with the company since 1991.
Chris came to us from the trucking industry. Chris started his career
working in the field in installation and service when an injury in 1994
forced him to give up the field work. After several months of recovery
from his injury, Chris returned to the company in the capacity of outside
sales. His first 6 years in sales involved residential door s and
operators. In 2004 he shifted his focus to commercial sales where he has
had very much success. Chris now handles several commercial contractor
accounts as well as commercial retail sales. Chris’ years of working in
the field has proven to be an asset to sales in the field and provides a
“hands on” approach to sales. If it’s a commercial application for
doors, operators, windows, or loading dock equipment, Chris is the person
to call on. Chris has been married to Diane for over 15 years and has 6
daughters.
Kirk Kaighin has been employed with the company
twice, first in the early 1980’s and secondly since 1995 with combined
experience in the business over 15 years. Kirk came to us from the food
service business. Kirk began his tenure here as an apprentice and quickly
learned the trade of garage door and opener installation and service. Kirk
now is what we call “someone who can do it all.” His daily duties can
vary from residential service and installation to all types of commercial
sectional and rolling fire door installation, service, modifications or
even help with sales estimates and field measurements for sales people..
When we come upon a day where one department is overloaded with work, Kirk
can “switch hats” and fill in and perform just about anything that
comes along. His vast amount of experience in the business is an asset to
the entire company. Kirk ha been married to Paula for over 20 years and
has 3 sons and 1 daughter.
Jim Sandlin has been employed with the company
since 1980. Jim came to us from the janitorial business and quickly
learned the overhead door business. Jim has served as both a residential
and commercial door and
electric operator installer for all those years and is only envied by his
competitors for his superior quality in workmanship. His accomplishments
span from large door installations, to very large commercial projects to
the smallest most difficult installations. Jim continues daily as our lead
commercial installation crew leader and continues to train apprentices who
have moved up into the company ranks. He is honored yearly for his
dedication and hard work to promote our company into the future. Jim has
been together with Julie for over 20 years
Lynne Melchior has been employed with the
company since 1989. Lynne came to us from the supermarket business where
she spent the previous 14 years. Lynne
has served in various capacities from bookkeeping to billing and accounts
receivable to inside sales. She is currently the showroom manager and
works daily with inside sales, and other administrative duties. When you
visit our showrooms you will be greeted and assisted by Lynne with her
vast knowledge of our products and services. She continues to be a sales
leader in the company and continues her self education from our suppliers
with product knowledge and expertise in the door and window sales
business. Her vast knowledge in the door and window business can only be
envied by her competitors. Lynne has been married to Mark for over 10
years, and has 1 daughter and 1 son.
Marcia
Mason has been employed with the company since 1980. Marcia came to us
right out of high school from accounting education. She has worked in
several capacities over the years from, secretary, customer service rep,
accounting, payroll, outside sales, assistant to the owner, and inside
sales. She now manages incoming sales leads, works the showrooms with
inside sales, and assists and coordinates the outside sales staff with
pricing, and scheduling. Her long term employment has been a huge asset to
the company with her experience in so many areas of the business. Marcia
met her husband Mike over 20 years ago while they were both employed here
and he is celebrating over 25 years with the company. They have 2 sons and
1 daughter.
Bill Gunn has been
employed with the company since 1981. Bill came to us from the landscaping
business and quickly learned the door and window business. Bill served as
a commercial overhead door installer in the field for his first 15 years,
installing rolling doors, fire doors, sectional overhead doors and
electric operators, telescoping doors, loading dock equipment such as dock
levelers, dock shelters and seals and was an expert at installation as
well as troubleshooting problems. His electrical background also helped in
designing, installing and troubleshooting all types of modifications and
specialty installations.
Bill has worked as VP of Operations for over 10 years now, supervising,
scheduling and continues to provide field training of a large staff of
installers and service techs. He is considered our “expert” in the
field of installation, service and quality control of our daily
operations. Bill has been married to Jenny for over 20 years and has 1 son
and 1 daughter.
Mike Mason has been employed with the
company since 1981. Mike came to us directly from Whitmer High School
Carpentry Class and quickly learned the overhead door and electric
operator business. Mike served as a residential service tech repairing
garage doors and electric openers, and then continued on into the
commercial door side of the business. Mike is considered by his peers as
“the best in the business” as a overhead door and operator service
tech in both residential and commercial. Our saying around here is “If
Mike can’t fix it, it’s either not broken or it can’t be fixed.”
Mike works daily as Service Director in charge of 6 service and repair
crews, and continues part time in the field training and picking up the
slack when service and repairs are in large demand. Mike met his wife
Marcia over 20 years ago while they were both employed here and she is celebrating over 26 years with the
company. They have 2 sons and 1 daughter
